Flooring Services in Littleton, CO

Littleton has some of the most varied housing stock we work with — historic homes near Old Littleton, ranch houses through Heritage and Leawood, and newer construction filling in around Columbine Hills.

Hardwood floors show up often in Littleton’s older homes, and we do a steady volume of hardwood floor installation and replacement work in neighborhoods like Ketring Park and Sterne Park. Tile is another good fit here for kitchens, bathrooms and entryways, along with stone for fireplace surrounds and accent walls.

For bigger projects, we handle kitchen cabinetry and full interior remodeling, and cabinetry installation is almost always paired with new flooring so the finishes match. We also do windows and doors for homeowners updating South Littleton properties built in earlier decades.

Homes in Littleton and the Floors That Suit Them

Littleton mixes historic and suburban. Around downtown Main Street and Sterne Park there are early 20th-century homes and post-war bungalows. Further out, neighborhoods like Leawood, Columbine Hills and Ketring Park are full of 1960s to 1980s ranches, split-levels and bi-levels.

Split-level and bi-level homes have a lot of short stair runs and transitions between rooms, which affects which flooring looks best and how it is installed. Many of these homes also have lower levels partly below grade. We plan transitions and stair details carefully so the floor flows from level to level.

Littleton’s location near the Highline Canal and South Platte trails means a lot of active households, bikes and dogs coming in from outside. Entry and mudroom floors take a lot of wear, so we usually suggest tile or waterproof luxury vinyl there, even if wood or carpet is used elsewhere.

Popular Projects in Littleton

  • Luxury vinyl plank through split-level main floors and lower levels.
  • Hardwood or refinishing of original oak in older homes.
  • Carpet on stairs and in bedrooms, with a denser pad for heavy traffic.
  • Tile in bathrooms and entries.
  • Kitchen updates with new cabinetry in 1970s and ’80s homes.

Planning a Flooring Project in Littleton

Littleton is close to our showroom via Arapahoe Road, Dry Creek or County Line. Most projects start with an in-home visit so we can measure every level and look at the stairs.

In split-levels we usually recommend one hard-surface floor running through the main living areas to make the home feel bigger, with carpet on bedroom levels. We will show you where transitions go before anything is ordered.

Recent work in Littleton

Bathroom remodel · Littleton, CO · August 2026
Tiled walk-in shower, pebble mosaic accents, wood-look plank flooring

This was a full bathroom rebuild, not a surface refresh. The old enclosure came out and the shower was rebuilt with a low curb so it is easier to step into, then finished in large-format travertine-look porcelain. Large tiles mean fewer grout lines, which is the part most people are actually tired of cleaning. A pebble mosaic runs through the niche and the bench face to break up the stone, and the fixtures are champagne bronze rather than chrome. Wood-look plank flooring runs from the doorway to the shower curb so the room reads as one space instead of two.

The frameless glass went in three weeks later, once the tile had cured.

The glass came later — we tile first, let it cure, then template the enclosure to the finished opening so the panels sit true. Littleton borders Centennial, so it is one of the areas we can usually schedule quickly. If you are planning something similar in Heritage, Leawood, Ketring Park or anywhere else in Littleton, we will come out and price it properly — subfloor and prep included, not added later.

Littleton Flooring FAQ

What flooring works best in a split-level home?

A single waterproof LVP or engineered hardwood through the main areas, with matching stair nosings, keeps the home looking connected. Carpet is still common on bedroom levels.

Can you refinish the original hardwood in my Littleton home?

If the boards are solid and thick enough, often yes. We inspect in person and tell you whether to refinish or replace.

Do you replace stair carpet with hardwood or LVP?

Yes. We install stair treads, risers and nosings in hardwood or LVP to match the rest of the floor.

What flooring holds up best at the back door?

Porcelain tile or waterproof luxury vinyl. Both handle water, grit and pet traffic without swelling or staining.

We also serve nearby Englewood, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Lakewood, Lone Tree, Denver. Ready to talk about your Littleton home? Request a free estimate or call (303) 993-6479.
