Floor & More carries blinds and shades in wood, faux wood, aluminum and fabric, and we measure and install them for you. The right window covering does more than finish a room: it controls glare on a TV, keeps a bedroom dark, gives you privacy from the street and can cut some of the heat that comes through west-facing windows on a summer afternoon. Venetian Blinds
Horizontal slat blinds are the most familiar kind. You tilt the slats for light and privacy or raise them all the way. Real wood looks the richest, aluminum is the most budget-friendly, and both work well in living rooms, bedrooms and home offices.
Vertical Blinds
Vertical blinds hang from a track and the vanes slide to one side, which makes them the easy choice for sliding glass doors and very wide windows. You can tilt them for light or pull them fully open to walk through.
Roller Blinds
Roller shades are a single piece of fabric on a tube. They’re simple and clean-looking and come in sheer, light-filtering and blackout fabrics, so the same style can work in a sunny living room and a bedroom that needs to be dark.
Faux Wood Blinds
Faux wood blinds look like painted or stained wood but are made from a composite that won’t warp, crack or fade with humidity. They cost less than real wood and are what we usually suggest for kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms.
