Each type of floor has its strengths. Hardwood adds warmth and can be refinished down the road. Luxury vinyl is waterproof and tough enough for kids and pets. Laminate gives you a wood look with a hard, scratch-resistant surface at a lower price. Tile is the go-to for bathrooms, entryways and anywhere that gets wet. Carpet is still the most comfortable choice for bedrooms and basements.

How the Installation Works
It starts with a measurement. We come out, measure every room and check the subfloor for squeaks, dips, moisture and anything else that needs attention before new flooring goes down.
Then you get a written, itemized quote that lists the material, labor, removal of the old floor, transitions and baseboards, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. On installation day our crew removes the old flooring, preps the subfloor and installs the new floor, then finishes the trim and cleans up. Most jobs take anywhere from one day to a few days, depending on the material and the size of the space.
Most flooring problems come from the prep, not the product. A good installer catches a soft spot in the subfloor, a slab with too much moisture or a floor that’s out of level before anything goes down, and that’s what keeps planks from separating and tile from cracking later. It also keeps the manufacturer’s warranty intact, since most of them require installation to their specs.
Every floor needs a little care. Sweep or vacuum often so grit doesn’t scratch the finish, use the cleaner the manufacturer recommends, and put felt pads under furniture legs. In Colorado’s dry winters, a humidifier helps keep hardwood from gapping. If something does get damaged, give us a call. We can often replace a few planks or tiles, restretch carpet or refinish hardwood instead of replacing the whole floor.
Insurance Claim Repairs After Water Damage
If a burst pipe, an appliance leak or another covered event has damaged your floors, we take on the repair work under your insurance claim. Once the area has been dried out, we come measure, note what needs to be replaced and give you a detailed, itemized written estimate you can share with your adjuster.
After the claim is approved, our own crew removes the damaged flooring, checks and repairs the subfloor, and installs the new floor. If the damage reaches cabinets, baseboards or other finishes, we can handle those in the same job. Your policy and adjuster decide what is covered, so we recommend opening the claim with your insurance company first, and we’re glad to work from the adjuster’s scope. Common Flooring Mistakes to Avoid
The ones we see most: skipping subfloor prep, not letting wood acclimate, putting standard laminate in a bathroom, forgetting the expansion gap at the walls, and ordering too little material, so the last few boxes come from a different dye lot. A careful measurement and a plan up front avoid all of them.
